Have you been struggling with geometry edits on alignments trying to make tangents and curves play well together by keeping them tangent? The guessing, the doublechecking, the worries are over. Civil 3d 2012 just made our lives a little easier by letting us know when alignment geometry is not tangent and giving us ways to correct non-tangency fairly easily.
Go into the Alignment Properties dialog and select the Constraint Editing tab.
Toggle ON (put a check mark in the box)
- Always perform implied tangency and constraint swapping
- Lock all parameter constraints.
